Huge LEAK on first use! Nice coffee STAINS ON CARPET! We got this for our team event. On its very first use, it started leaking profusely when the coffee was getting hot. It stained the carpet very nicely – not! So if you have light-colored carpet, beware of this West Bend coffee urn. I love this coffee pot! This is identical to a coffee pot I purchased almost 30 years ago. That pot is going strong and has been used for countless parties along with being use every day for a year at a business I worked in. Many people have borrowed it. It is idiot proof. Marks on the inside show exactly how much coffee and water to use. I still have that old pot and it still works well. I purchased a second pot to use for hot cider and tea. Old faithful I replaced a pot exactly the same that I have had for 30 years. Not fancy, but an old standby. I make coffee for a group of 20 or so who visit the pot throughout the morning.
