It works – one simply needs to practice with it. For me and my needs this works well. I have read other reviews from previous purchasers whom have complained about one thing or another in relation to this coffee pot. The complaint most mentioned was how flimsy the lid clamp attachment was. I agree it is “flimsy”. My solution to that was to remove the clamp altogether and use my HAND to hold the lid on the pot while pouring. Oh, and if it gets to hot to hold there are ways to aid the user. Not too bad for the price I bought this to make cowboy coffee, and that it does. The pot itself is a good shape and holds 3 quarts. The lid is held on by a little clip thing, some have complained this comes off, just bend the tabs around the handle more and it stays put no problem. I do remove the lid completely for easier cleaning.The porcelain is incomplete is a couple of spots on the bottom of the pot, both inside and outside. I have posted pics of those two areas. I imagine these spots will be prone to…
