Perfect for our needs Length:: 2:11 Mins I purchased this carafe so we would have hot water readily available in the winter time while we are outside working. I have an electric tea kettle but it is only for heating water for immediate use it will not keep water hot. Our carafe will not gather dust in the summertime either. Does NOT keep coffee hot I like my coffee hot. While my coffee brews, I place hot water in this carafe and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Not long enough, I guess. My old carafe kept my coffee piping hot for hours with this process. But with this carafe, 2-3 hours later, my coffee is barely warm.
